Jobs are on the way after one of the UK’s biggest bakers announced it is building a multi-million Teesside plant.
Warburtons is expanding its Stockton bakery, creating a dedicated Thin Bagel factory.
The big-name breadmaker says demand for the lower-calorie product has soared.
Now Stockton is seeing a slice of the action, after the company confirmed an £18m investment and double the jobs at its Yarm Road site.
A spokesperson for Warburtons said: “Due to increasing consumer demand for our Thin Bagels, we are investing in a new £18m Thin Bagel plant at our Stockton bakery.
Demand for low-calorie product is increasing, now Stockton is seeing a slice of the action as factory set to double its staff
