Never afraid to capitalise on the popularity of their gooey money-maker, Cadbury has partnered with Goose Island brewery for a new Creme Egg beer.
Launched to mark the fiftieth anniversary of the popular chocolate, the limited edition “Golden Goo-Beer-Lee Creme Stout” was launched this morning [March 3] but sold out within the hour.
However, the Goose Island website – where the beer is available exclusively – offers hope for those who have missed out, reading: “Out of stock – for now! Join the Goose Island mailing list and we’ll let you know when new stock will be available.”
A stout, the beer has been brewed using cacao nibs and vanilla beans, which Goose Island’s master brewer Andrew Walton says enhance the chocolate notes in the pint.
